Research shows that Sign Language benefits hearing
kids and kids with disabilities other than deafness -- even if they never
use it with the deaf -- and if we assume it benefits deaf kids, shouldn't
we be exposing all kids to sign language? If it is true that Sign Language develops more of the brain than
learning a spoken language, shouldn't people be encouraged to learn Sign
as a second language? |
